Missouri State University is a metropolitan university serving a unique combination of urban and rural environments. With an enrollment of nearly 17,500, the University commits itself to excellence in four focused theme areas -- business and economic development, professional education, health care, and performing arts - all elements of the University's statewide mission in public affairs.

With this university-wide emphasis on business and economic issues, students in the College of Business Administration (COBA) benefit greatly with access to excellent faculty, facilities and resources.

Missouri State's campus features park-like areas, fountains and an appealing mix of old and new buildings. The campus is compact, and is an ideal environment for walking and biking. Facilities at Missouri State create a physical environment that is well-suited for learning, research and recreation. Glass Hall, which houses COBA, is one of the nation's most sophisticated business education facilities. While learning in specialized classrooms and computer labs, students may participate while instructors demonstrate computer applications and show videos on giant rear-projection screens. Glass Hall also offers satellite communication capabilities for exchanging information around the world.

In addition, Glass Hall is tied into the campus information networks, allowing students access to an ever-expanding worldwide information highway. Students can check the day's stock prices in Tokyo, e-mail a friend in Thailand, or even investigate issues discussed at a conference on business ethics in London. All of these topics and countless others can be accessed from the second floor of Glass Hall.

The Missouri State library system, featuring the Meyer Library, offers more than a million resources including books, videotapes, government documents and compact discs. The University's library services subscribe to more than 4,600 periodicals. Most items are available through ATLAS, the on-line public access catalog, which can be accessed from computers across campus.

An atmosphere of opportunity and a remarkable educational value have made Missouri State University the second largest university in Missouri. These qualities, and many more, have made COBA one of the most respected programs in the United States. Graduates of the University's Master of Business Administration (MBA) program enter the work force with a wide-spread reputation for aptitude and practical knowledge.
