Welcome to the
COLLEGE OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (COBA)

Are you interested in becoming the leader of an international corporation, or would you prefer to own a small business in your hometown?  Are you curious if there is a niche for you in e-Business, the stock market, or the insurance industry?  Or, do you just want to know more about what a business school has to offer?  The College of Business Administration website at Missouri State University is just the place for you to explore the answers to these, and many more, questions.

Are you an undergraduate business student who would like to talk with an academic advisor?  The Business Advisement Center, located in Glass Hall 106, has a staff of knowledgeable and friendly Academic Advisors that specialize in assisting you with all of your scheduling and degree program inquiries.  Are you interested in pursuing a graduate degree, but you are not certain of the programs that COBA offers?  COBA has five graduate study programs, including the Master of Accountancy, Master of Business Administration, Master of Project Management, Master of Science in Computer Information Systems, and Master of Health Administration.  Both day and evening classes are available to accommodate a variety of schedules.  Are you an entrepreneur who dreams of starting your own business?  Do you already own a business, but you would like for your company to excel even more than it already is?  The Center for Business and Economic Development, located in Glass Hall 113, is home to both the Small Business Development Center and the Management Development Institute.  The Small Business Development Center is a nonprofit entity that provides consultation and seminar training for potential and existing small businesses in 19 Southwest Missouri counties.  The Management Development Institute offers a wide range of seminars in order to assist managers and supervisors with developing tools, techniques, and strategies that will motivate people, solve problems, and keep worker performance and work quality at high levels.

The College of Business Administration is composed to two divisions: The Business Unit and Departments outside the Business Unit.  Each is governed by separate accreditation standards.  The Business Unit is accredited by AACSB-International, and the Industrial Management department has achieved accreditation from the National Association of Industrial Technology.
